1. How quickly can I get certified as a professional massage therapist?
Arbor Institute offers a 638 hour diploma program which can typically be completed in as little as 8 months. We remain focused on the quality of the education that you receive and not how quickly the program can be completed. We do not believe in cutting corners with “accelerated” or “hurried” programs, having found that graduates from these programs rarely realize the full benefits that a proper massage education should offer.
2. Can I tour the school?
Yes. Simply call the school and schedule your tour of the school today. Tours are generally given during normal business hours from 9:30AM to 5:30PM Monday–Friday, however if our schedule times are not convenient, we will gladly discuss options for when you can visit the school.
3. Do you accept foreign students?
Yes. Arbor Institute may accept and enroll international (non-immigrant aliens) students; however additional enrollment and admission requirements are necessary. Please contact the admission office at least 3 months prior to your anticipated start date.
4. How large are the classes?
The average class is 8-10 students. We believe it is important to keep the size of the class small in order to allow for individualized instruction and attention.
5. Can I work and go to school?
Yes. We understand that many students need to work while attending school. As such, we have designed and structured our classroom training program during the day from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday–Friday and in the evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Student Clinic is conveniently open Friday evening and Saturday day.
6. Will I have enough training to pass the National Certification Examination?
Yes! Our program is designed to exceed the educational standards established for national certification. Additionally, the President of the school guarantees that under normal circumstance, graduates who choose to take the national examination will pass.
7. Will I be able to get a job once I graduate?
Absolutely! Arbor Institute offers job placement assistance to all students and graduates who wish to find a job in the field of massage.
8. Do you offer financial aid?
Arbor Institute of Massage does not participate in the Federal Financial Assistance (Title IV) program. We do however offer several appealing payment options and students may qualify for educational assistance loans through their financial lending institutions. Our admission office will be glad to work with you on these details.
9. What is Clinical Massage Therapy?
Clinical Massage Therapy is a highly specialized modality. The practice of Clinical Massage Therapy involves the evaluation and treatment of soft tissue dysfunction by manual manipulation in order to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, and/or augment physical function. Arbor Institutes Clinical Massage Therapy Diploms program gives you the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience necessary to work with a wide assortment of health related conditions.
